Michael Dolan is Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Bacardi Limited, the largest privately-owned spirits company in the world. 

Prior to Bacardi, Mr. Dolan has a work history that spans areas as diverse as Sports, Fashion, Media, Advertising, Food and Beverage manufacturing, and Management consultancy.  Most recently he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IMG Worldwide, a recognized global leader in sports, fashion and media. Mr. Dolan joined IMG in early 2010 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and was the architect of the development and execution of the Company’s global growth strategy, leading IMG’s expansion into high growth markets, including China, India, Brazil and Turkey, as well as expansion into new business areas.

Prior to joining IMG, Mr. Dolan served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom Inc., where he managed the creation of MTV and an array of cable networks, as well as Paramount Pictures and CBS Corp.

 

From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Dolan was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Young & Rubicam (“Y&R”), the diversified global marketing services company having spent 5 years as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, first recapitalizing and taking the company public before negotiating the sale of Y&R to WPP Group Plc in 2000.

His earlier career includes six years with PepsiCo Foods International, including time in Europe as President and Chief Executive Officer of Snack Ventures Europe, a joint venture of General Mills and Pepsi Foods International (Frito-Lay); and stints as Senior Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Strategic Planning. 

Mr Dolan has a BA and MA in English from Fordham University, an MBA from Columbia University as well as a PhD in English Literature from Cornell University and has maintains a lifelong commitment to education.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Mattel and March of Dimes a nonprofit which works to improve the health of mothers and babies.
