Joshua Wagner, Director of Culture and Entertainment for The Miami Beach EDITION, began his career in the entertainment and hospitality industry at a young age. While an undergraduate student at University of Wisconsin, Wagner and his friends founded a lucrative entertainment and promotions company dealing in concerts and large-scale events.

After graduating college in 2003, Wagner relocated to Miami Beach full-time. Looking to further develop his skill set, he went on to complete his Masters in Hotel Hospitality Management at Florida International University. During this time, Wagner worked with Morgans Hotel Group, contributing to the launch of Skybar at the Shore. Wagner’s hard work paid off as he was quickly promoted to General Manager.  Throughout his flourishing career with Morgans Hotel Group Wagner was given the opportunity to travel the globe, launching various bars and lounges for the brand. Some noteworthy accomplishments include London’s Bungalow 8, SkyBar LA, Hudson Hotel, Sunset Lounge and Good Units. Wagner returned to Miami to open The Florida Room in the iconic Delano Hotel, where he served as the General Manager of the South Florida hotspot, in addition to being appointed Regional Director of Nightlife for Morgans Hotel Group in Miami. He was responsible for regional nightlife programming, conceptual development and operational execution of special events for Shore Club, Delano and Mondrian Miami.

Wagner joined LDV Hospitality in 2012 as a managing partner in Miami to launch Rec Room and The Regent Cocktail Club at the Gale Hotel, two of South Beach's premiere destinations leading the mixology boom in South Florida. 

In 2014 Wagner joined The Miami Beach EDITION team to launch a spectacular next-generation urban resort by Ian Schrager in partnership with Marriott International. In his role as Director of Culture and Entertainment, Wagner oversees programming for food and beverage and cultural perspective for the entire property.  With seven food and beverage outlets whichch include three restaurants and a one-of-a-kind entertainment venue that maintains a nightclub, bowling alley and ice-skating rink underneath one roof.

A respected member of the community, Wagner serves on numerous boards and also devotes his time to working with many charities. He was a host on Plum TV for four years and serves as Master of The Ministry and host for LE Miami, among other regular television and speaking engagements.  Wagner shows no signs of slowing down, and he will continue to utilize his talents and focus his efforts on contributing to both the industry as well as the community.
