Nicholas Bennett is Head Bartender at Porchlight, the first stand-alone cocktail bar by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). Located in West Chelsea, this New York bar with a Southern accent is the brainchild of USHG’s CEO Danny Meyer and Blue Smoke’s Senior Managing Partner Mark Maynard-Parisi. As Head Bartender, Nicholas’ responsibilities include fine-tuning the inventive cocktail menu, as well as training and managing Porchlight’s bar staff. He brings nearly a decade of craft cocktail and advanced mixology skills to Porchlight.

Previously, Nicholas was Head Bartender/Bar Captain at Booker and Dax at Chef David Chang’s Momofuku Ssäm. The bar is at the forefront of using technology, both new and vintage, to create unique and memorable cocktail experiences. In five years at Booker and Dax, Bennett teamed with David Arnold, its visionary owner, to build a successful brand.
