What: Atelier Vie distills absinthe and gin in New Orleans. Founded by Jedd Haas, this special TOTC tour led by Jedd Haas will take you through the distillation process and a spirited tasting of Toulouse Red, Absinthe Rouge; Toulouse Green, Absinthe Verte; Euphrosine Gin #9; and Euphrosine Gin #9 Barrel-Finished Reserve.
Inspired by our renowned culinary culture, we create flavorful new spirits in one of the greatest drinking cities of the world. Toulouse Red, released in 2012, was the first Louisina absinthe since Prohibition. Toulouse Green, released in 2013, uses locally-grown wormwood. Euphrosine Gin #9 has won multiple gold medals in national spirits competitions, and Euphrosine Gin #9 Barrel-Finished Reserve is the first barrel-aged gin from Louisiana.
When:Four tours will be available on Tuesday, July 19th; at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. Due to the small size of the distillery and the personalized attention you will receive from the founder, each tour is limited to 12 guests. There is a $10 fee to reserve your spot. We may have a guide at Hotel Monteleone who will gather all participants and help you find a shared cab to the distillery.
