Tales of the Cocktail® New Orleans 2016

On a hot summer day there’s nothing like cracking open a cold beer and chugging the heat away. Refreshingly delicious, beer is great on its own but it also has the ability to add carbonation, texture and a variety of complex flavors - ranging from citrus to coffee - to any cocktail.

In this seminar, Elayne Duff AB-InBev's craft beer division Global Event Manager (and former James Beard-nominated mixologist) will team up with Lynnette Marrero ( Co-Founder of Speed Rack and Owner of DrinksAt6 Consulting. 2015 Food and Wine + Forbes Most Innovative Women in food and drink ), Jacob Grier, author of Cocktails on Tap: The Art of Mixing Spirits and Beer and Christian Siglin (2014 Eaters bartender of the year). In this seminar you will learn: the best spirit and beer combinations, the different beer varietals and their uses within the components of the cocktail, the benefits that beer can bring to played out classics, pitfalls to avoid when embarking on cocktail development, and other artisanal uses for beer.
