The Seven Pillars of Classic Cocktails

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

How does Carbonic Acid change the balance of a ‘75 and a Collins? What is the trick to mastering brix in a variety of liqueurs in the Daisy? Why are bitters integral to a number of cocktails? Bartenders get caught up in the details when crafting dealers choice libations, which can slow them down during a shift. But what if there were seven formulas that provided the skeleton for an infinite number of cocktails? During this seminar, Bittercube co-founder Ira Koplowitz, alongside award winning bartender Marco Zappia and cocktail historian & author Matthew Rowley will touch on all the topics mentioned above and a number of others to provide concrete formulas, foolproof riffs and historical context for creating dealers choice libations in a pinch. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a number of different pillar cocktails.
