Becky Paskin is Editor of exciting new digital magazine Scotchwhisky.com, the world’s most authoritative online guide to Scotch whisky. Established in October 2015 with seasoned booze writers Dave Broom and Richard Woodard also at the helm, the website has been warmly welcomed by both industry and whisky enthusiasts alike.
She is a food and drink journalist with over 15 years experience in hospitality, originally training as a cocktail bartender and restaurant manager before swapping the shaker for a pen in 2007.
Since then she has written food, drink and travel pieces for numerous trade and consumer magazines, including BigHospitality.co.uk, Restaurant magazine, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, The Times, The Good Food Guide, Square Meal, Olive and Whisky Quarterly.
In 2012 she was appointed deputy editor and then editor of global trade magazine The Spirits Business, which under her stewardship was shortlisted as the Best Spirits/Cocktail Publication at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards for two consecutive years (2014, 2015). As an expert on all distilled beverages, Becky chaired the magazine’s Global Spirits Masters blind tasting competition for several years.
She is also regularly featured as a drinks expert in the international print, radio and television media, and is a presenter at high profile drinks shows including Tales of the Cocktail and The Whisky Show.
