Grant Sceney oversees the cocktail program for the Fairmont Pacific Rim and can be found behind the bar at The Lobby Lounge.

Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, Sceney began bartending at the age of 18 while studying at the Box Hill Institute of Tafe, where he received his Advanced Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism. After graduating, he went on to bartend at an exclusive five-star property located on the Great Barrier Reef, where his passion for mixology flourished.

In 2009, Sceney made his way to Whistler, British Columbia, where he worked during the 2010 Winter Games before relocating to Vancouver, where he now calls home.

Since arriving at Fairmont Pacific Rim, Grant has been integral in establishing The Lobby Lounge as one of the premier destinations on the International cocktail circuit.
These days, he oversees all aspects of the hotel’s cocktail program and is certified as a ‘Specialist of Spirits’.

The consummate innovator, he’s best known for blending a classic style with an avant-garde approach to bartending.

Grant was named the 2014 World-Class Canadian Bartender of the Year. He then went on to represent Canada in the Diageo World Class Finals in the United Kingdom, accomplishing an impressive overall 4th place finish.

Most recently being named Vancouver Magazine bartender of the year 2016.
