Charlie brings years of experience bartending in and around Dallas to life through thoughtfully made cocktails and friendly service.

He got his start in craft cocktails working closely with his mentor, Brand Hensarling (of Fort Worth's The Usual) at a small restaurant called CampO in Oak Cliff. It was there that Charlie learned the ins and outs of finely crafted and balanced cocktails before leaving to contribute to the teams at some of Dallas' top cocktail bars such as the People's Last Stand, The Standard Pour, and the Windmill Lounge.

In April of 2014 he welcomed his daughter into the world and at the same time life at home changed for exciting new reasons he found a new home at the James Beard nominated Knife where, as the head bartender, he would train and mentor a new generation of bartenders.

Charlie has served as the North Texas USBG chapter Vice President, is BarSmarts certified, has participated in Camp Runamok as both a camper and counselor, and has attended countless seminars, festivals, and cocktail focused events around the country.
